Private advisory for established experts ready for their next level of commercial positioning.

This is for consultants, advisors, and specialists whose expertise has evolved beyond the way the market currently understands it. I work with you to correct how your work is interpreted, positioned, and engaged so the opportunities around you begin to reflect the level you actually operate at.

When your work is being read at the wrong level, everything downstream is affected

You already know you’re capable of more than the level of work you’re consistently being engaged for.

The issue isn’t ability.

It’s that your work is currently being interpreted in ways that shape the level you’re trusted at and the kinds of opportunities that reach you.

That can show up as:

  • being grouped alongside the wrong alternatives

  • being engaged once direction has already been set, rather than while it’s being shaped

  • being pulled into narrower work than your thinking actually supports

  • pricing that requires explanation instead of being taken as obvious

Inside advisory, I correct how your expertise is seen across the environments where decisions are made so the opportunities around you start to match the level you actually operate at.

The result is better clients, higher-value work, and stronger commercial trust.

What private advisory is

This is a high-touch engagement where I apply the work directly inside your business.

We identify how you’re currently being categorised, what is reinforcing that categorisation, and what needs to change so you are engaged at the right level consistently, not occasionally.

The diagnostic gives you clarity and direction.

Advisory is where the shift is implemented and stabilised.

What we work on inside advisory

This work is practical. It is not “messaging tweaks”.

We focus on the structural things that determine how you’re placed:

  1. Replacement reality → what you’re being compared against right now, and why that comparison is keeping you mis-tiered

  2. Market perception → how your expertise is currently being read, described, and introduced

  3. Tier placement → the level you’re being invited into, and what needs to change for you to be trusted with higher-stakes work

  4. Buyer psychology → how decisions are being made, what the right buyers prioritise, and what they need to believe about you

  5. Signal control → the cues that reinforce your current placement (language, offers, proof, pricing architecture, narrative)

What clients come in for vs what I correct

Recent work - Leadership / Founder Advisory

A senior expert had outgrown the way their work was being engaged. They were still being brought into hourly coaching, workshops, and reactive “people problems” even though the real value of their work sat much higher up the chain.

The issue was not capability. It was how the work was being understood, where it was being placed, and the level at which it was being bought.

Once that was corrected, the conversation changed. Their work was repositioned around leadership alignment at the top and the decision friction affecting growth, which led to retained, higher-stakes advisory work, including five-figure quarterly containers and longer-term support.

What clients come in for vs what I correct

Recent Work -  Risk / Governance / Board-Level Advisory

A senior expert was being engaged too late and too narrowly — brought in for audits, compliance fire drills, and short-term remediation work, even though the value of their thinking sat much closer to strategic risk direction.

The issue was not expertise. It was how that expertise was being framed, when it was being brought in, and what kind of commercial role it was being allowed to play.

Once that changed, the work moved upstream. They began to be engaged earlier, closer to decision-makers, and increasingly through longer-term retainers tied to governance, risk direction, and board-level judgement.
